Todd represents clients in complex matters involving a wide variety of business and commercial disputes including contract litigation, products liability litigation, insurance coverage litigation, employment and restrictive covenant litigation, corporate governance disputes and business torts, and personal/reputational injury litigation. He regularly practices in Connecticut’s state courts and the Federal District Courts in Connecticut and New York. He has also handled appeals before Connecticut’s Supreme and Appellate Courts and before the Second Circuit Court of Appeals. Todd has represented the region’s major electric utilities; chemical companies; insurance companies, agents, and brokers; physician groups; individual tort victims; financial institutions; municipalities; and closely-held businesses and their owners.

  • Successfully defended a physician group in an arbitration concerning an employment and contract dispute.
  • Won a Superior Court trial to obtain recovery for a utility company for damage to its facilities.
  • Successfully defended an appeal concerning a reinsurance dispute before the Connecticut Appellate Court.
  • Successfully defended an appeal on behalf of a health care products manufacturer and distributor before the Connecticut Supreme Court.
  • Obtained summary judgment in federal court on behalf of a manufacturer involved in contract dispute.
  • Part of a team that obtained summary judgment in federal court on a behalf of an international manufacturing company against a qui tam plaintiff alleging violations of former false marking statute.
  • Served as lead counsel for utility company in multiple commercial property damage actions.
  • Defended numerous personal injury cases.
  • Negotiated favorable settlements on behalf of a variety of clients in a variety of matters.
