Janie provides clients with guidance regarding the establishment and operation of charitable organizations and family foundations. She also represents a broad range of individual clients with respect to estate and trust planning and administration, charitable giving and tax planning. She advocates for clients facing contested probate matters, including involuntary conservatorships and will contests. Janie has become a trusted advisor to many clients who value her sensitive and pragmatic approach to resolving probate and estate planning issues.

Janie also works with utility companies on land use, title review and siting issues, including the preparation of regulatory filings for infrastructure projects in Connecticut. She advises municipal commissions on land use issues, including wetlands and zoning matters.
