Daniel’s practice focuses on land use law, representing developers, corporate entities, nonprofits and individuals in development projects and real estate transactions. Daniel is comfortable handling various land use and zoning and inland wetland approvals, often providing text amendment, site plan and special permit approval representation. He values connecting with clients to achieve their goals and has counseled on many multimillion projects, particularly in the greater Fairfield County region.
Prior to joining Carmody, Daniel served as a law clerk at the Connecticut Appellate Court for two years. In his first year, he served as a law clerk to the Honorable José A. Suárez. In his second year, he served as a law clerk to Senior Judge Alexandra D. DiPentima and several judge trial referees, where his responsibilities included, in part, assisting with land use petitions for certification.
During law school, Daniel served as an articles editor of the Connecticut Public Interest Law Journal and worked for all three years at the Connecticut Urban Legal Initiative. He also served as a judicial intern for the Honorable Alvin W. Thompson (D. Conn.), completed a field placement with the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development, and interned at the Connecticut Fair Housing Center.
