Summer Associate Program
Carmody offers an immersive and broad-ranging nine-week summer associate program for second year law students looking to get hands-on experience in a leading full-service firm. Because we believe that growth happens through experimentation, program participants receive assignments in as many of our varied practice areas as possible. Participants research and draft briefs; shadow lawyers at court events, administrative hearings, and depositions; participate in closings and transactional work; and learn to give practical, client-centered advice. Summer Associates spend time in our New Haven, Stamford, Guilford and Waterbury offices, and have the opportunity to receive substantive training under the guidance and mentorship of some of the preeminent practitioners in each practice area.
