The Trump administration recently announced it has halted final adjudications of all cases for individuals from the 19 countries currently subject to the June 2025 travel ban.

The 19 travel ban countries include: Afghanistan, Burma/Myanmar, Chad, Republic of the Congo, Equatorial Guinea, Eritrea, Haiti, Iran, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, Yemen, Burundi, Cuba, Laos, Sierra Leone, Togo, Turkmenistan and Venezuela.

This halt applies to adjudications of all form types, as well as naturalization oath ceremonies, for individuals from the travel ban countries.

U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) has instructed personnel to pause review of affected cases, re-review, and re-interview affected individuals where necessary. The pause affects foreign nationals who are citizens of any of the travel ban countries or who were born in any of the travel ban countries, regardless of whether these individuals hold a different nationality (i.e., passport from a different country) today or hold additional citizenships.

The Trump administration is also considering expanding the current travel ban to include approximately 30 countries.
