Ethan focuses his practice on complex medical malpractice defense cases and general healthcare and business litigation. He represents a range of healthcare providers, from EMTs to physicians to hospital systems from pre-suit investigation through trial with an emphasis on strategic, efficient resolution.
Ethan regularly authors and argues motions in medical malpractice cases, conducts and defends depositions, manages complex discovery, develops expert witness strategy, and advises healthcare providers on insurance applications and navigating the claims process. He is experienced in defending providers in many fields of medicine and healthcare operations, especially in the areas of orthopedics, podiatry, neurosurgery, psychiatry, gastroenterology, internal/hospital medicine, geriatric care, and first-response.
Before joining Carmody, Ethan practiced in the areas of medical malpractice, professional liability, and insurance defense at a firm in Hartford, Connecticut.
