Tracy’s practice focuses on all aspects of civil litigation with an emphasis on probate litigation in probate and superior courts, including will contests, conservatorship and guardianship disputes; land use disputes, including conservation easement enforcement.
Tracy is also a member of Carmody’s Municipal Law practice, providing legal counsel to southeastern Connecticut municipalities.
Tracy tries cases in state courts in Connecticut and is often appointed by southeastern Connecticut probate courts to serve as temporary administrator of estates when family disputes arise, and as conservator of the estate of individuals who are unable to manage their financial affairs. She also serves as trustee and fiduciary in contested and uncontested matters.

Successfully objected to a principal’s misuse of his elderly parents’ power of attorney which led to a mediation and a multi-million-dollar probate court settlement.*
Successfully defended allegations of lack of capacity and undue influence which resulted in a probate court opinion admitting a will.*
Lead trial counsel and co-author of the brief to the Connecticut Supreme Court in the case of Dowling v. Bond, et al., 345 Conn. 119 (2022), successfully defending an adverse possession claim brought against a homeowner’s association over a right of way leading to the Long Island Sound.*
Lead trial counsel in a case of first impression on Connecticut’s conservation easement enforcement statute, General Statutes § 51-183(c), resulting in a large damage and attorneys’ fees award and an order that the protected property be restored to the condition it was in prior to violation, Lyme Land Conservation Trust, Inc. v Platner, 325 Conn. 737 (2017).*
