Carmody has elected three of its lawyers to the partnership effective January 1, 2023.

Stephanie Cummings – Business & Corporate
Stephanie practices in a variety of areas, including labor and employment law, corporate law, municipal law, real estate, and general civil litigation, as well as personal injury. Her clients include small businesses, municipalities, independent schools, institutions, non-profits, and individuals with varying needs. She is licensed in Connecticut, Massachusetts, and Maine.

Janie McDermott – Business & Corporate
Janie provides clients with guidance regarding the establishment and operation of charitable organizations and family foundations. She also represents a broad range of individual clients with respect to estate and trust planning and administration, charitable giving and tax planning. Janie also works with utility companies on land use, title review and siting issues, including the preparation of regulatory filings for infrastructure projects in Connecticut. She advises municipal commissions on land use issues, including wetlands and zoning matters.

Tamara Nyce – Litigation
Tamara has focused her practice in the areas of healthcare law, medical liability and personal injury defense, and commercial litigation. Tamara represents a wide variety of individual and institutional clients, including healthcare providers, medical practice groups, hospitals, independent schools, ride-sharing corporations and local businesses.
