In late December, as authorized by Gov. Lamont Executive Orders related to the COVID-19 public health emergency, the Connecticut Department of Energy & Environmental Protection (DEEP), extended certain General Permit filing deadlines by 90 days.

The original deadline for these filings was January 29, 2021, and, in recognition of the limiting factors posed by the COVID emergency, is now April 29, 2021.

The extension applies to notification filings required under the General Permit for Discharges from Miscellaneous Industrial Users (applicable to non-significant industrial wastewater dischargers); and to registrations for those seeking coverage under the General Permit for Discharge of Wastewaters from Significant Industrial Users (applicable to industrial dischargers subject to pre-treatment standards or otherwise designated as such).
