Carmody Torrance Sandak & Hennessey LLP (“Carmody”) is pleased to announce that Stephanie E. Cummings, of Waterbury Connecticut, has recently joined the firm as Counsel.

Prior to joining Carmody, Stephanie practiced law at a local firm representing individuals and businesses in a variety matters, including real estate, personal injury, probate and civil litigation.

Stephanie has been recognized for her tireless civic engagement in the Waterbury area. She volunteers for numerous community and neighborhood organizations and is the founder of the Waterbury Reads book drive, which has collected more than 50,000 children’s books for children in targeted communities.

Stephanie also currently serves as a State Representative in the Connecticut General Assembly, where she represents Waterbury’s 74th District. Stephanie has been the youngest female legislator since her election in 2016.

Stephanie received her undergraduate degree from Sacred Heart University and her J.D., Cum Laude, from Quinnipiac University School of Law. She is admitted to practice in Connecticut, Maine and Massachusetts. She is licensed in Federal District Court for the Districts of Maine and Massachusetts and licensed in the United States Supreme Court.
