Benjamin H. Pomerantz, of Stamford Connecticut, has recently joined Carmody Torrance Sandak & Hennessey LLP as Counsel, working primarily with the firm’s litigation group. Attorney Pomerantz has represented both individuals and institutions, in catastrophic personal injury, negligence, and medical malpractice cases. Typically, these cases include severe injuries or wrongful death stemming from medical and dental malpractice (including missed diagnosis), auto or truck collisions, motorcycle or bicycling crashes, pedestrian accidents, trip and falls, defective premises, defective products, sports, spectator, and school injuries, as well as workplace or construction accidents. He has taken many cases to jury verdict in both State and Federal Court.
Attorney Pomerantz also represents individuals throughout the State of Connecticut who have been injured on the job with their workers’ compensation cases.
Recognized by Super Layers magazine as a Connecticut “Rising Star” in the area of Civil Litigation in 2016, Attorney Pomerantz is also a co-chair of the Workers’ Compensation Section of the Fairfield County Bar Association.
Prior to joining Carmody Torrance Sandak & Hennessey LLP, Attorney Pomerantz worked as a litigation and trial attorney at prominent litigation firms in both Connecticut and New York where he represented injured individuals and victims of negligence, as well as health care providers and professionals, hospitals, and other medical institutions. Attorney Pomerantz entered the private practice of law after clerking for the Connecticut’s Judicial Branch for one year as a research clerk. Attorney Pomerantz received his law degree from American University, Washington College of Law, and his undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan.
Attorney Pomerantz grew up in Stamford and now resides there with his wife, a child psychologist, and their daughter.
