Waterbury (March 5, 2012) — Carmody & Torrance LLP has named Brian T. Henebry as the firm's new Managing Partner. Brian, a partner in the firm's litigation practice group, has been in a leadership role as Assistant Managing Partner for the past six years.
Brian joined the firm over 20 years ago and has been a partner for 15 years. His litigation practice includes a variety of matters for corporate and individual clients, including commercial litigation, real estate litigation, eminent domain, and tax appeals.
In addition to his law practice, Brian is active in both professional and civic organizations. He is a member of the Connecticut Bar Association’s Utility Section and is on the New England Legal Foundation’s Advisory Council. He is also on the Board of Directors for both the Connecticut Association for Human Services and the Children’s Community School in Waterbury. Brian earned his J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law and a B.S., summa cum laude, in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Business.
Commenting on his appointment as Managing Partner, Brian says “I’m thrilled to step into this new role. It is a big responsibility, but this is a great firm with a strong management team, excellent attorneys, and a dedicated support staff. My focus will be to move the firm forward by continually improving our services and investing in our people and our systems. To assist him in his new role, Brian appointed the firm’s new management team. The team now includes Ann H. Zucker as Assistant Managing Partner; Richard L. Street as Litigation Practice Group Leader; Nick Zaino as Business Services Practice Group Leader; and Giovanna Weller as Marketing Partner.
