About Sarah S. Healey

Sarah S.  Healey, a Farmington resident, practices in Carmody’s litigation group, focusing in the areas of business and commercial litigation as well as labor and employment defense.  Sarah has represented clients in matters involving claims of employment discrimination, harassment and retaliation, wrongful discharge, breach of contract and fiduciary duty, defamation, unfair trade practices, and misappropriation of trade secrets.  Sarah also regularly defends employers before administrative agencies such as the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the Commission on Human Rights and Opportunities. Sarah frequently presents on current labor and employment law issues.  She also conducts management training for employers on topics including harassment prevention, performance management, leaves of absence, accommodating employees with disabilities, and wage and hour compliance.

Sarah is an active leader in the legal and business communities, especially in children’s organizations.    Sarah was selected as a “New Leaders in the Law” by the Connecticut Law Tribune, 2015 and a Connecticut Super Lawyers® “Rising Star” since 2013.  She also was recognized on the Pro Bono Honor Roll by Connecticut Lawyer Magazine from 2011-2013.

Sarah earned her J.D. from University of Connecticut, with honors, and her B.A. from Drew University, summa cum laude.

About Amanda C. Nugent

Amanda Nugent’s practice is focused on commercial litigation, with particular emphasis on breach of contract and business torts actions in both the state and federal courts.  Amanda represents and advises individual entrepreneurs, small family businesses, large national corporations, banks, and publicly regulated utilities.  Amanda’s thoroughness, thoughtfulness and responsiveness to client needs make her a strong advocate on behalf of clients in litigation as well as at the negotiating table.  Amanda is proud to be part of a team of litigators that is “highly recommended” by Benchmark Litigation’s Guide to Leading Business Litigation Firms and Attorneys.

Amanda is an active leader in the legal and business communities as a Board Chair of Solar Youth and an avid volunteer in children’s organizations.  She is a member of the New Haven Inns of Court, the New Haven County Bar Association and the Connecticut Bar Association.  Amanda has been a Connecticut Super Lawyers® “Rising Star” since 2013.

About Lisa L. Feinberg

Lisa’s practice primarily focuses on developers, institutions, property owners and tenants in obtaining municipal and state permits for large scale development projects. Lisa has led significant development projects in Stamford and other Fairfield County communities.   Her strong relationships in the community enable her to efficiently navigate her clients through the land use approval process.  Lisa’s clients rely on her responsiveness, attention to detail and follow-up in the success of their projects.

Lisa recently received the Stamford Chamber of Commerce’s “Member of the Year” award.  She is an active member of the Mutual Housing Association of Southwestern Connecticut Board of Directors and serves as a member of multiple non-profit event committees.  Lisa is also a member of the Connecticut and Fairfield County Bar Associations.

Lisa resides in Stamford and works in the Stamford office.

Lisa earned her J.D. from University of Florida Levin College of Law and her B.S. from University of Florida, cum laude.

About Brian A. Daley

Brian Daley, a Stamford native and New Canaan resident, practices complex commercial, real estate and personal injury litigation, in both state and federal courts as well as through arbitration.  Brian advises clients on contracts, real property, unfair or deceptive trade practices, property tax appeals, negligence, products liability and insurance coverage.  Brian serves as local counsel for out-of-state attorneys, representing the interests of mutual clients in Connecticut courts.

Brian serves on the Board of the Fairfield County Bar Association and is a member of the Connecticut Trial Lawyers Association and the Connecticut Bar Association.  Brian has been included on the Connecticut Super Lawyers® “Rising Stars” list since 2008, the National Trial Lawyers Top 40 under 40, and is a member of the Raymond E. Baldwin American Inn of Court.

Brian earned his J.D. from Duke University School of Law and his B.A. from Georgetown University.

About John L. Cordani, Jr.

John Cordani, Jr. practices in Carmody’s litigation group in the areas of intellectual property, antitrust, and commercial litigation.  He prosecutes chemical and mechanical patent applications and trademarks in the United States Patent & Trademark Office and represents clients in the United States Patent & Trademark Office.  Prior to law school, John worked as a chemist and received multiple patents covering various aspects of his research.  John received an appointment as a Special Public Defender and represents indigent defendants in appeals of their criminal convictions.  John is also an Adjunct Professor of Law at Quinnipiac University School of Law and teaches a course on Patent Litigation.

John is an active leader in the legal and business communities.  He acts as court appointed pro bono counsel in the U.S. District Court of the District of Connecticut for various civil rights cases and is a member of the New Haven Bar Association.  John was selected as a “New Leaders in the Law” by the Connecticut Law Tribune in 2015 and Connecticut Super Lawyers® “Rising Stars” list in the areas of Intellectual Property, Civil Litigation and Appellate matters, as well as a 2014 Rising Star by Business New Haven.

John resides in Prospect and works in the New Haven office.

John earned his J.D. from Cornell Law School, summa cum laude, and his B.A. from Cornell University, magna cum laude.

About Sherwin M. Yoder, CIPP/US

Sherwin practices in Carmody’s commercial litigation group.  As a certified privacy professional (CIPP/US), Sherwin counsels clients in the areas of data privacy and cyber security.  In cases of data security incidents or breaches involving disclosure of personal health, financial and employment information, Sherwin coaches businesses and health care providers through the process of breach notification and responding to regulators.  When litigation ensues, Sherwin is well positioned to defend or prosecute claims.

Sherwin’s litigation practice is diverse.  He has served non- and for-profit entities, utilities and municipalities in complex commercial litigation involving environmental issues, breach of contract, unfair trade practices and intellectual property disputes, as well as personal injury defense.  He has defended hospitals and doctors, including psychiatrists, against medical negligence claims.  Sherwin has been selected to the Connecticut Super Lawyers® list since 2010 in the area of Business Litigation.  He has regularly taken on pro bono litigation matters in state and federal court.  Sherwin is an active leader in his church community.  He volunteers for various school organizations and was recently named Wallingford Rotarian of the Year.  Sherwin is a member of the International Association of Privacy Professionals, the Connecticut Chapter of InfraGard, and the Connecticut and New Haven County Bar Associations.  He serves as the Legislative Liaison for the Federal Practice Section of the Connecticut Bar Association.
