Adam C. Brocklehurst joins Carmody’s Corporate & Business Services Practice Group and is based in the firm’s Stamford office. Adam focuses on corporate, commercial and transactional matters. He works with businesses of all sizes across a wide variety of industries and assists with entity formation, corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, real estate transactions and debt and equity financing. Adam received his J.D. from Quinnipiac University School of Law.
Makana Ellis joins Carmody’s Litigation Practice Group and is based in the firm’s New Haven office. Prior to Carmody, Makana served as a Clerk for the Honorable Karen Goodrow at the Superior Court for the Judicial District of New Haven. Since then, Makana has enjoyed a varied litigation practice, handling matters including construction litigation, medical malpractice defense, breach of contract claims, CUTPA claims, mass tort, products liability, class actions, and personal injury claims. Makana most recently served as the President of the George W. Crawford Black Bar Association for the 2021-2022 bar year, and is active with the New Haven County Bar Association. Makana received her J.D. from the University of New Hampshire Franklin Pierce School of Law.
