On October 30, 2016, James K. Robertson, a Watertown resident, was ordained as a Congregational Church minister at the United Church of Christ in Watertown. The Ordination service was ecumenical, with more than twenty-five clergy participating, including representatives from all Protestant denominations, a Rabbi, a Muslim leader, and several Catholic priests. Jim will serve as a part-time Associate Minister of the Church, and will continue to be a full-time litigation partner at Carmody Torrance Sandak & Hennessey. For more than ten years, Jim has balanced his work as a trial lawyer with his spiritual work of teaching and ministering. When announcing Jim’s Ordination, Ann Zucker, Managing Partner at Carmody, noted that Jim may be the only trial attorney in the State of Connecticut who also is a Christian minister, and advised that Jim’s first act as a newly ordained minister would be to add 3 hours to the 24 hour day.
