At the same time\, our lawyers are actively monitoring the pronouncements from state and federal officials\, analyzing the new laws passed in response to the pandemic\, and assessing the legal implications for our clients and their businesses. We have built a COVID-19 resource center on our website and we are sending out e-alerts daily to provide critical information to help employers make informed decisions. This session discusses the difference between layoffs and furloughs\, and why the difference matters.
