The City of Norwalk Planning & Zoning Commission has scheduled two public hearings on the proposed citywide, comprehensive zoning rewrite and zone map revisions to provide property owners, businesses and other stakeholders an opportunity to share comments, concerns and objections.

The hearings will take place on June 21, 2023 and June 28, 2023 at 6 pm and will be conducted remotely via zoom.com. Information on how to attend and participate in these virtual meetings will be available on the City of Norwalk website.

In addition, a community meeting for the Golden Hill section of Norwalk has been scheduled for June 6, 2023 at 7 pm at the Norwalk Fire Department. The meeting is open to all.

City officials continue to encourage members of the public to review the proposed draft regulations and share comments, concerns, objections and questions with Steve Kleppin, Director of Planning & Zoning and Bryan Baker, Principal Planner or through an online fillable form which can be accessed on the Planning & Zoning department’s website. The draft regulations can also be examined on the department’s website, and there is also an interactive map that can be viewed to examine a property’s current and proposed zoning classification along with current and proposed uses for a parcel of land, and other pertinent information.

Carmody attorneys continue to evaluate and monitor the proposed map and regulations, and are available to discuss potential impacts to property owners.
