Tony Woolard is an associate in Carmody’s Intellectual Property Group. Tony primarily focuses on the prosecution of patent and trademark applications and is licensed to practice in front of the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). Tony has gained IP experience in various settings through his employment at a not-for-profit organization, an institution, and a private practice. Tony has worked on patent prosecution projects related to different types of utility and design patents for mechanical, chemical, and biological inventions. Over the years, Tony’s client portfolio has ranged from individuals to large corporations, and he has successfully obtained copyrights, trademarks, and patents on their behalf. His diverse employment history has granted him exposure to various cases related to IP ranging from prosecution before the USPTO and litigation in federal court to alternative dispute resolution before the American Arbitration Association.

Tony has also acquired experience in contract law. More specifically, Tony has drafted by-laws, articles of incorporation, stock agreements and licensing agreements.
